Employee Earnings

 

Employees are assigned various Earnings Types for which they are eligible to be paid.  These types are pre-defined in the Company Earning Master.

A list of Employee Earnings associated with the specified employee in Vision's Employee Earning Master is displayed for reference.

Add An Earning (future release–not currently implemented)

To associate an Employee with an additional Earning, click Add an Earning.

Select/enter Earning data as follows:

Earning

A user-defined code that appears on the employee’s earnings stub for which the employee is eligible to be paid

Employee Earning Master

Pay Rate

The employee's rate of pay for this Earning.

 

Default Job

A user-specified number representing a job description

Job Master

GL Expense

The General Ledger expense account associated with this earning

Employee Earning Master

GL Liability

The General Ledger liability account associated with this earning

Effective Date

The date the Earning is associated with the employee

 

Expiration Date

The last date the Earning is in effect for the employee

 

Hours

The specific number of hours associated with the Earning

 

Project

Project associated with the Earning

 

Phase

Phase associated with the Earning

 

Category

Category associated with the Earning

 

Active

Indicate whether or not the Earning is currently active. (If an earning is not active, it is not applied during payroll calculations.)

 

Frequency

Pre-populated from the Earning Master, determines if the earning frequency will be based on the check date or period ending.

 Earning Master

1st

You may elect to have the earning generated only on the first check date of the month

 

2nd

You may elect to have the earning generated only on the second check date of the month

 

3rd

You may elect to have the earning generated only on the third check date of the month

 

4th

You may elect to have the earning generated only on the fourth check date of the month

 

5th

You may elect to have the earning generated only on the fifth check date of the month

 

Last Week

You may elect to have the earning generated only on the final pay period of the month regardless of payroll cycle

 

  

Work Order Detail

Clicking in the WO Detail column displays Work Order Details, including Work Order Number, Customer, Location, Post, Department and Job, if applicable.
